ABOUT US
Taking the ferry from Trondheim city, a small village named Hasselvika appears 40 minutes ahead. A gem of a village full of history and beautiful nature. This is where you'll find Hasselvika Gjestgiveri, a small but cozy guest house re-established in 2020 for you to get the holiday you deserve. While staying with us you can explore the nature by land or at sea, attend daily events or relax on the rocks with a glass of something good.
The guest house is usually rented out for companies, weddings or other larger events. This year, however, we have to think differently. That's why we are inviting you!
For us, it's important that you as a visitor is safe. For reasons of infection control, we have therefore reduced the capacity to 50% and put rooms in quarantine for three days before we wash, disinfect and prepare them for new guests. The kitchen will also be closed, but do not despair, it is possible to order packed lunches and dinners from a local supplier.
FACILITIES
Breakfast / supper
Due to infection control reasons, the kitchen at the guest house will be closed. However it will be possible to use a fridge in the common area, a coffee maker and teakettle. We also have an agreement with the local pub who delivers breakfast packages every morning at 09.00 for those who are interested.
Dinner
You have two options:
1. Order food from a local supplier, delivered and served with us.
2. Visit the local pub "Naustet" which is only 200 meters from the guest house.
Free Wifi
The guest house has free wifi. Surf when you want, almost wherever you want.
Lavvu
As our guest you can reserve lavvus of different sizes (6-15). These lavvus are included in the price (one day) as a motivation for exercise.
Hygiene
Each room has a WC with showers. Bedding is included and towels can be rented.

Mountain hikes
In the immediate area there are several marked hiking trails for those who want a longer excursion. We are happy to help you finding hidden treasures, the best viewpoints or suiting hiking trails.
Fishing
Hasselvika is widely known for its rich and diverse fish stock. Whether you're fishing from ashore or by boat, we'll help you with your fishing luck. Through our partners, you can either rent a boat with a skipper at Skoglund's fjord and fishing trips or without a skipper at Rønningang Gård .
The literature barn
A five minute walk from the guest house you'll find the literature barn, where you can relax with a good book or borrow one with you.
Open farm
Right next us, at Hanne's farm, you have the opportunity to she sheep, horses and chickens. If you are lucky with the timing, it may also be possible to arrange a horse ride.
Historical and cultural experiences
We can arrange free experiences, lectures, historical walks and more daily. Follow the information board at the reception and sign up to take part.
Beaches
At a short walking distance from the guest house you'll find places to go for a swim at both sides of the village.
